on to the new stage

i had my 6th and last cycle of chemo last friday and was happy to have finally reach the next phase of my treatment. they call it the “supportive care/follow up care” stage. i was told that it is important for a leukemia patient to receive supportive care to improve their quality of life after treatment. wow, this is indeed an exciting phase 🙂

i got my new meal plan last friday and was happy to have finally finished my “all fruits and vegetable” diet plan. it really sucks ha ha ha. i had to practically force myself in eating alugbati, kamote tops, gabi leaves, etcetera. but i enjoyed the different fruit and vegetable concoctions that i discovered along the way (like avocado, squash and carrot juice, eggplant, kiwi and melon juice, watermelon, carrots and papaya shake, they sound awful but they taste great) 🙂

i’ll start my regular check ups next week and that includes a scheduled bone marrow aspiration or spinal tap. (i hope it wont hurt that bad). i will continue with my therapy so that i can normally walk with my two feet again. (i’m making some progress and it’s really giving me the spirit to go on).

still a work in progress……thank GOD…..i’m never out of His grace

so, i say……..on to the new stage!!! 🙂 aja! aja! aja!
